Crosstalk Records is happy to offer turntable repairs — modern and vintage! Setup, servicing, fault-finding and upgrades. Bring it in, or send an enquiry first and we’ll tell you what’s realistic.

$90 bench fee = quote + first hour Quotes before major work Modern + vintage (turntables only)

What we service

Belts — replacements, speed stability, slipping
Speed + pitch issues — drift, wow/flutter, calibration
Cueing + tonearm — lift/drop, anti-skate, bearings, alignment
Noise + grounding — hum, buzzing, channels dropouts
Cartridges + styli — supply + fitting, alignment, stylus changes/upgrades
Setup — full setup, tracking force, VTA (where applicable), levelling

How it works

Send us the issue + brand/model (and whether it’s direct drive or belt).

Bench fee/deposit: $90. This covers a quote and the first hour of labour.

We’ll confirm parts + turnaround where applicable, and quote before any major work.

What we don’t take on (for now)

Vintage stereograms (even if they include a turntable)
Bang & Olufsen turntables
Old valve radios
Non-turntable hi-fi repairs (amps, speakers, CD/cassette decks)

Regrettably these fall outside our current workflow. If you send an enquiry anyway, we’ll try to advise you a next step and can recommend local repairers.

Good to know

Bring the power supply + any cables that came with it (if applicable).
Photos (almost) always help — cartridge, stylus, wiring, and the back panel/connections.
